The Boston College Alumni Association, in partnership with the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, is hosting an online event moderated by David Goodman, associate dean, and featuring David Blustein, Mary Walsh, and Belle Liang, professors in Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology. Together these faculty will explore the impact the pandemic is having on our mental health in the United States. Topics to be discussed will include psychological repercussions of job loss and unemployment, the exacerbation of needs and issues faced by low-income children and families, and the mental state of college students and their struggles with meaning at the present moment. An emphasis on resilience will thread the presentations and discussions.
